What Can SMEs Learn from Different Business Contexts?
How can organisations learn from different countries, markets and institutional environments without simply copying approaches that may not fit their own context?
About the session
Transformation rarely happens under ideal conditions. Organisations have to make decisions while markets shift, technologies evolve, regulations change and information remains incomplete. At the same time, what works in one country or business environment cannot simply be transferred unchanged to another.
This session explores what small and medium-sized enterprises can learn from different institutional, economic and business contexts.
Rather than searching for one universal model of change, the session invites participants to compare different approaches and identify what can realistically be transferred to their own organisational context.
Key topics
Learning from different markets and adapting approaches rather than simply transferring them.
Understanding how institutional, cultural and economic environments shape transformation.
Making robust choices even when information is incomplete or conditions are changing.
Identifying which practices can be adapted to another organisation and which depend strongly on context.
